To not to let die preserve the college memories and circle.
Here's how
We, the BCA goofballs, accidentally created a Facebook Messenger group called "Asal Nagarik." Even though college is over, this group is still alive and kicking with memes, memories, and jokes galore.
We're constantly poking fun at each other and having a blast. Who knew our little group would become such a hit?
Long live the legacy of our college shenanigans, now immortalized in the digital world! Find us.
The program
The group who join Asal Nagarik arrive with diverse experiences, strengths, and perspectives. What unites us is a shared passion for story-driven circles. We forge long-lasting friendships and emotions, remaining for years and collaborating with various things.
Founder of Asal Nagarik,
Head of Design at asalnagarik
James Buckhouse founded the Asal Nagarik to help startups reach their full potential through exceptional product design. He lectures frequently at Stanford’s d.school and the Graduate School of Business on story-driven design. Prior to Sequoia, he led black-ops products at Twitter as their Sr. Experience Architect. Before Twitter, earned his story stripes as a cinematographer for DreamWorks, working on the Shrek, Madagascar and Matrix trilogies.
Designer
Coleen Baik is a designer and artist currently based in New York City. She was at Twitter from 2009 to 2014 in San Francisco, where she led the design of foundational experiences such as Photos, Photo filters, Cross-platform Compose, early Conversations, and Group Messaging. She's been an advisor at Medium and has engaged in traditionally non-tech spaces with activists like Gloria Steinem. She believes that technology should serve connections, not the other way around.
Designer
Aine designs products from an experiential standpoint. Her full design process focuses on data, concept, and designing with a POV. After Sequoia, she looks forward to joining a design team that encourages iterations and risk. Aine holds a BFA in Painting and Visual Communications from School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design.
Design Intern
Mary Alice is a designer finishing up her degree at Stanford University in Product Design, a discipline she found aligns perfectly with her intersection of interests in design, engineering, and tech. Constantly inspired by the people and places around her, Mary Alice focuses on integrating her passion for people into her work through full-process design and creating transformative products by practicing empathy. Her deep curiosity for exploring unusual connections and detailed oriented mindset combine to produce deliberate design.
